I am a vendor at all of the NC Scrapbook Crops and Retreats. Every retreat the vendors choose a charity to support. This event in Wilkesboro was for camp Tekoa in Hendersonville, NC for mentally challenged adults and children. They have a family weekend so that family members get a chance to just relax while their "camper" family are involved in a variety of activities. I totally took this idea from the CTMH Spring 2013 Idea Book and it sold for over $100!! Whoop Whoop for CTMH. We raised $1750 for camp Tekoa and sent 20 campers to the Family Weekend. NC Scrapbook Retreats & Crops is not just about preserving family memories but about helping where we can. I am so honored to be part of such a special group. ANNNDDDDD... Our next auction is mine - Close to My Heart and Operation Smile. I can't wait to see what we can do for these children.
