Family Historians!

Did you ever inherit an old family photo album only to discover that the really cool old pictures had no names and no stories?  Well Gary and I did when his grandfather Black passed away.  Beautiful photo albums made of raised felt with photos on tin - 10 years later we still have no clue who these people were or what their story was in these pictures.  Solution - scrapbookers!  We are the family historians.  We record the family history in pictures and journals.  Let me show you how to do this the faster, simpler, easier way with Close To My Heart.  I can show you traditional scrapbooking or digital scrapbooking - depending on your needs!

It's "Elemental" my dear...

I am so happy and I love this layout using our NEW Elemental Level 2 Paper Pack (X7141B) and highlighted the flowers and flourishes with Glitz Glitter Gel (Z1484).  This picture is from our vacation to Siesta Keys, FL last August.

I "Believe" U R Adorable!

This is layout and display board for the New Believe Level 2 Paper Pack (X7145B).  I knew as soon as I saw this beautiful Christmas paper that I had the perfect pictures of my granddaughter to make layouts.  I also used the New Holiday Pockets (Z1486) for my journaling.  Let me show you how to discover your creativity and get your beautiful photographs out of the box and onto beautiful layouts too!

A Little More Brazzle Dazzle...

This is the second Clear Card I made for my display boards using the awesome NEW Top Coats Icing Overlays (Z1468).  These overlays are terrific for cards and layouts.  I silver embossed a dimensional element snowflake and added a stick pin from the Bling Assortment (Z1466). Making these art pieces to display at convention is so much fun I took the day off from KLINGSPOR to create, create, create!!

Believe Clear Acrylic Card with Bling!

This is another card I made for my display boards at Close To My Heart's convention.  I have always loved our Clear Cards (Z1309) and could wait to make one with the NEW Believe Level 2 paper pack (X7145B).  Our new Top Coats Icing Overlays (Z1468) were a perfect match for the blue paper and then I used the Designer Brads (Z1360), Bookplates (Z1147), Bitty Sparkles (Z1263), and Red Collection Designer Ribbon (Z1615).  Finally I trimmed the card edges with Silver Glitz Glitter Gel.  CTMH has had Stardust Glitter Gel for a while and has now added Red, Bronze, and Silver to the Glitz collection.  I love to use them all to add a little brazzle, dazzle to my art.  Have you tried our Glitz Glitter Gel yet?  If so, let me know how you like it.  If not, then let me get you some right away!!

You will see in my next few post that I LOVE this particular B&T paper in the Believe Level 2 Paper Pack (X7145B).  This paper just screams make a cheery card or layout out of me!!  And it make me think of snow, winter, and holidays.  I used the cute A Holiday (A1115) stamp set and embossed the holly leaves and Merry Christmas with silver embossing powder (A669).  I sponged the dimensional element Stars (Z1680) with Sky ink (Z2194).  Finally, I added some bling with Flutter Paper Shapes (Z1463), Designer Brads (Z1360), and Bitty Sparkles (Z1263).

Mischief and Thanks!

This is another project for the Close To My Heart Convention Extravaganza Class - "Adding Brazzle Dazzle to your Art" that I did for my display boards.  I wanted to demonstrate that you do not have to use this paper pack for Halloween.  All I did was add some embossing and color cardstock to end up with this very elegant card!  I used the Mischief Level 2 Paper Pack (X7144B) and embossed THANKS with Silver Embossing Powder (Z669).  Next I added BLING, BLING  of Heirloom Assortments (Z1635), Bling Assortment (Z1466), Bitty Sparkles (Z1263) and Green Collection Designer Ribbon (Z1615).  I love the change up for this Halloween paper - let me know what you think!!!

U R Invited ...To A Little Mischief!

This is a cute invitation I made also using the new Mischief Level 2 Paper Pack (X7144B) and the Mischief  Felt Shapes (Z1462).  Stardust Glitter Gel (Z1213) gives the candles their sparkling glow.  You will see and feel a nice surprise when you get your hands on our new B & T papers, as they are now cardstock weight!!  That's right, our papers have a little more junk in their trunk and are heavy enough to be used as a base page for layouts and will cut beautifully with the cricut without tears.  How super cool is that???

A Little Mischief!

I used Close To My Hearts new Mischief  Level 2 Paper Pack (X7144B) a little different this time to preserve my memories from last Halloween's party with friends.  The coordinating embellishments added the perfect "spookiness" for these Halloween ghouls.  I stamped the spider web from the All Hallows Eve (C1462) stamp set and then embossed the it using VersaMark (Z891) and White Daisy embossing powder (Z673).  Next, I dabbed on a little Stardust glitter gel (Z1313) and made the web line down to the rub-on spider (X7144C). The library books are our new rub-ons too.  The dimensional black embellishments are the new Midnight felt shapes(Z1462).  The fire tips on the felt candlesticks are sparkles (Z1263) colored with Honey (Z2262) and Sunset re-inkers (Z2291).  I am very please with the finished layout from my fall "Fright Night"!  Don't you just love this new paper and embellishments!!

An Officer and A Gentleman!
